BOX was established by seasoned industry professionals, with over 50 years of combined industry experience, who understated the opportunities and challenges of todays deregulated energy environment.
Benji has a decade of experience on the REP side of the deregulated energy business. Benji was the Director of Channel Partner Managers at AP Gas & Electric for 3 years, where he was responsible for establishing and expanding their indirect sales channel.
Prior to that, Benji was the Senior Business Development Manager of Indirect Sales at First Choice Power, prior to its acquisition by Direct Energy, where he was for 7 years.
Benji was instrumental in building the indirect sales channel, and developing FCP’s pricing and broker management portal. Benji’s vision is to utilize his experience and relationships to streamline processes and communication in an industry that is experiencing escalating fragmentation.
Arthur was the Controller of Hudson Energy, the commercial division of Just Energy, where he was instrumental in expanding its services to the UK.
Prior to being acquired by Just Energy, Arthur was the CFO, and a Member of Hudson Energy since 2006. Arthur served as the Controller for Hudson Energy Solar, Just Energy’s PV Solar Installation unit with installations of $100M across the US. Arthur is a CPA having held roles with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, and Marks Paneth LLP, prior to joining Hudson.
Arthur is a Member of the Board of Directors, Chairman of Audit Committee, and Member of the Compensation Committee of FXCM, Inc. (NYSE: FXCM), a leading online provider of foreign exchange (FX) trading and related services to retail and institutional customers worldwide.
Peter has been in IT as long as he can remember. From a young age he has been fascinated by computers. Over the years he has experienced all aspects of computing both hardware and software.
Before joining OnlineDirect and BOX he worked for Total Gas and Power. There he started as a system tester implementing the electricity systems. Over the 15 years he was there he held different roles in the IT department ending up as part of the Centre of Excellence team for Europe designing and implementing tactical solutions across Europe.
He joined OnlineDirect and BOX in 2013 and has been in charge of setting up and heading the IT department to develop and build the EnergyEngine platform. Since joining he has implemented processes and standards for developing the platform, established the help desk to better service EnergyEngine users and has never looked back. When he is not talking to computers he spends his time with his young family.
Gary joined Online Direct in 2000 having spent 5 years in SME sales and relationship building.
He held a variety of jobs before settling down at Online Direct and BOX – including stints as a stockbroker and a Royal Marine (he has the tattoo to prove it). A forward thinker, Gary is responsible for developing new strategic partnerships and services and expanding Online Direct’s service portfolio. He is the driving force behind EnergyEngine® and is continually looking to innovate and use technology to improve the broker experience.
Gary also plays a pivotal role in maintaining existing and creating new relationships with suppliers and energy sales brokers. As a father of five, what little time he gets to himself Gary spends cooking, learning the guitar and falling off a snowboard.
