MP2 Energy Acquisition
According to a story from Energy Choice Matters, Shell Energy North America (SENA) has signed a purchase agreement for the acquisition of MP2 Energy LLC.
The agreement is still subject to regulatory approval.
SENA’s market is primary on the west coast of the U.S., so the acquisition will help them expand eastward into Texas and the eastern U.S.
According to the article, MP2 will retain its current management and function as a wholly-owned subsidiary of SENA.
Xoom Energy Expands into New Markets
According to a recent article from Energy Choice Matters, Xoom Energy will expand operations in Ontario, Canada. Their operations will soon include residential and small business consumers in the following territories:
- Alectra Utilities
- London Hydro
- Veridian Connections
Combined, these markets serve over 700,000 territories.
According to the article, these will mark the eighth electric market and second natural gas market in Ontario for Xoom since they launched in the province in March 2017.
