We have been moving and grooving the last few weeks at BOX, but mostly debating the ever going argument, "what is a customer?" Some of us folks think it's once the sale is payable, and others think it's as soon as you have their contact information. We would love to hear your thoughts! This is important to us because we have focused on building a new journey for our system, a whole new look and feel. Think sleek, modern, easy to use, fun. Your thoughts are vital to us, so keep sharing your ideas, and we will keep making them become a reality. Take a peek inside the BOX and get a glimpse of the people who make BOX the great company it is!
Thought Leadership: WHAT’S YOUR MOTIVATION?
A blog/podcast from Craig Groeschel.
What’s your motivation? What’s your reason for wanting to be a leader?
“Leaders should be willing to do the most uncomfortable things. If the leader won’t do them, nobody will.” —Patrick Lencion
At the core, people are motived to lead for two reasons: they are either reward-centered or responsibility-centered. Reward-centered leaders look at leadership as a reward for long years of hard work. They see it as prestigious, important, high-paying, or full of perks. Meanwhile, responsibility-centered leaders see leadership as a duty. If they don’t make the hard calls, do the research, shoulder the burden, and envision the future, no one else will.
Today, Emily Gallatin, Business Development Manager, talks about the importance of relationship-building in business!

"It covers a lot of hot topics such a sexual misconduct and business relationships in the workplace. Every episode has some sort of moral questioning about what is right and wrong. It places a lot of emphasis on how big media controls what kind of news is out there, and shuts down a lot of stories about truth to avoid making big names look bad." - Danielle VanZandt, Account Manager

A Note from our Vice President - Benji Coomer
As I mentioned last month, the purpose of our newsletter is to let our partners, clients, suppliers, and perspective partners get an insider’s view into Broker Online Exchange. Each month, and when we get a new employee, we go over our “10 commitments”. The 10 commitments are a snapshot view of our guiding principles and who we want to be as a company. We try to talk about them, we try to keep them as common language, and we honestly try to embody them as character traits as individuals and as a business. Each Commitment comes with a question:
One of my favorites is Commitment #8: Commitment to Unity – “Am I an Island?”
A person standing alone can be defeated, But two can stand back to back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken. I commit to not act as a rogue or a lone ranger, I will link up with the others and be stronger together!
One of the things that I believe bonds employees and humans together is a unified vision. A view of a future state of the business, the team, the family, or whatever your specific endeavor is that you have chosen to pursue. A spirit of unity doesn’t mean we all agree on everything, or we all give up our own special characteristics, it just means that I am going to pursue my job with a belief that we all are in this together trying to accomplish big things. I’m going to come to the table with a attitude that says, “I’m with you, and I believe you are with me, and together we can do more than we can on our own.”
I fully believe that nothing big can happen until unity happens first. Here’s hoping you find your unifying banner to fly!
From everyone here at BOX, we appreciate you and hope you all have a successful October!
